By a mill stream in Hütteldorf stood the Glutmühle. In the time of Duke Rudolf IV, in the mid-14th century, a witch was said to live in the mill, versed in every kind of heathen practice. At full moon she was seen dancing in a stone circle down by the water, calling on the spirits, and people from the district sought her out to be healed or to learn something of their dead. A young priest fell under the spell of her arts and meant to sell them on to the duke for good money. Rudolf instead had them both arrested, sentenced them to death and ordered them sewn into sacks and drowned in the Danube. The priest was refused the last sacraments and shouted his curse: before the year was out the duke would stand before the highest judge. Rudolf died that same year, tormented by dread.
