When the Clal Building on Agrippas Street was erected in the 1970s as Jerusalem's first indoor mall, a legend quickly spread: a criminal's corpse had been hidden in the concrete foundations, bringing a curse with it. Business after business failed, the mall decayed despite its central location, and the building attracted tragedies that only fed the rumour. Among the city's residents the house became the very image of a cursed property, and despite renaming and renovations, people still whisper about the body in the foundations that never found rest.
