At Indals-Liden it is told of a man who had made a pact with the devil, gaining all good things in life but bound to belong to him afterward. When the time was up, the man hoped to escape his fate by holding a great feast, trusting the devil would not dare appear. But the fiend came regardless, served as a farmhand all evening, and at last took the man into the chamber. The guests found three drops of blood on the floor, and the squire was gone through the window.
