In Hjørundfjord they tell of the priest Bangsbill, who used his book of magic to bind the devil into ferrying him from Bergen to Borgund church in a single night. When the devil tried to trick him into speaking God's name, the priest only shouted for more speed, and at the church he drove down his staff so the trickster was forced into the rock.
