The Accomac Inn stands on the bank of the Susquehanna at Wrightsville, Pennsylvania, on the site of the house where the Coyle family lived in the late 1800s. Johnny Coyle lived there with his mother and his father, a farmer and a skilled ferry navigator on the river. His father hired a young woman to help his mother with the work of the house, and Johnny became infatuated with her.

What followed is one of the better documented nineteenth century murder cases in York County, and it ended the family.
