Princess Anna Vasa, granddaughter of Sweden's Gustav Vasa, is said to still tidy her castle at Golub by night.

The brick castle of Golub-Dobrzyń was built by the Teutonic Order around 1300 and in the 17th century became the residence of Anna Vasa, sister of King Sigismund III and granddaughter of Sweden's Gustav Vasa. The learned princess, never permitted to marry for religious-political reasons, is said never to have left her beloved castle: at night her ghost drifts through the halls, straightening objects and making sure everything is in order. Staff claim to have found items moved overnight. The castle is now a hotel and museum, famous for its knights' tournaments.
