At Rindal in Dovre, Per accidentally read the devil free, and he came as a fierce storm, chasing the man through brush so the twigs flew. Per ran and shouted and tried to dodge him, but the devil stayed at his heels. By great luck Frek Rindal was present and got hold of the black book, and soon the devil was bound once more – though by then Per was nearly spent.
