Parish Priest Morten Smith Petersen and the Black Book, Slagen
Vestfold · Norwegen · Sägenplats · Grusel 3/5
An axle pin broke on the way home – and the priest made Old Erik run alongside holding the wheel.
Morten Smith Petersen was parish priest of Sem from 1780 to 1825 and is said to have studied in Wittenberg and learned something of the black art. At the Kongs-Eik parsonage he kept the black book locked away so no one could see it. Once, driving home from Vallø chapel, one axle pin broke, and he forced Old Erik to run alongside and hold the axle, so that he came home at full speed with one whole wheel on one side while the Evil One tended the other.
