In Vörå they tell of a man who promised the Devil might flay and take him, so long as he had luck in everything for a time. The luck came, and for long he heard nothing from the Devil. But one day in the bathhouse a little old man came offering to attend him. It became a dreadful bath; the man howled like a slaughtered beast, neither priest nor anyone could get in, and at last the Devil shot up through the roof with the body, leaving the skin on the floor.
