A brick building from 1906 on the Ohio canal, home to a furniture business for many years. A mortuary operated in the lower basement from 1916 to 1936.
The Warehouse on the Canal at Canal Fulton, Ohio is a brick building put up in 1906. For many years it held Finnefrock Furniture.
From 1916 to 1936 there was also a mortuary in the lower basement.
That combination was entirely ordinary at the time. Furniture makers built coffins, and a great many American undertakers began as cabinet makers, which is why so many buildings of this period have a mortuary somewhere underneath a shop.
What is reported includes figures in period clothing, unexplained footsteps, lights going on and off, radio stations changing, and noises with no source. Investigators working the building have recorded high electromagnetic readings and temperature drops occurring together.
The building is in use and open, which means most of these accounts come from staff and visitors rather than from anybody who broke in.
