In Lappfjärd they tell of a woman in peril at sea who pledged away what she carried under her apron, which was her unborn son. When the boy grew older the priest set him on the altar and drew a ring around him that could only be broken by one who spoke the right holy name. The evil one said it wrong and failed to get the boy, who then composed the hymn Wake up, my soul, give glory.
