In Pernå the sorcerer Holmström cured certain grave illnesses through nightly journeys to the church. Aron from Påvalsby went along and was given a wooden shingle to hold out instead of his hand. In the church a cloaked figure came toward them, whose greeting was a snip of shears. Holmström conferred at length with him about Aron's ailments before they hurried out.
