A black hound with fire in its jaws raced past a traveller — and led to a dark secret hidden in the churchyard wall.

At Dannike a young man is said to have walked home one evening through a great forest. A large black hound with fire in its mouth tore past him, and soon after a girl ran the same way. The next day it emerged that she had hidden her dead infant in the churchyard wall, and when the man spoke of his vision, her fear made her give herself away.
