In Valinge village it is told of the farmer Hindrik Torsson and his hot-tempered wife. He once came home cheerful from Varberg, but his wife began to scold and they fell to shoving. Then the servant saw a great black dog at the window, forepaws on the sill, looking in, the Evil One himself.
