A man in Velfjord gave a stranger a ride toward a farm further along the road. At the first farm angry words and quarrelling could be heard, but the stranger listened and said he had to drive on, for a mother who scolds her child from the heart does not mean it. At the next house he got down and went inside. Later the man learned someone there had just taken his life – and understood whom he had carried.
