After days of cards in Bagn a stranger joined and began to grow. The priest had to go home for collar and cope before he could conjure him out.

On a farm at the north end of Bagn there was once an immense amount of card-playing. The players had sat at it for days on end when a strange man joined in — and soon they noticed he was growing huge and showed other things that frightened them. They sent for the priest, but he came without his collar and had to go home for collar and cope; only then could he conjure the Evil One up through the chimney with fire streaming after him.
