Ohio’s most haunted house — where the banker Tiedemann saw several of his family die, and crying is said to seep from the walls.
Franklin Castle (the Tiedemann House) in Cleveland, Ohio, built in the 1880s by banker Hannes Tiedemann, is often called the state’s most haunted home. Tiedemann suffered a string of tragedies as several family members died, and since the 1960s there have been accounts of a child’s crying from the walls, footsteps in empty rooms and a woman in black. The dark Queen Anne stone house is a classic of American ghost lore.
