Goldfield Hotel
Nevada · United States · Hotel
Once the most spectacular hotel in Nevada, now derelict. Elizabeth is said to have been chained in room 109.
The Goldfield Hotel in Nevada was built between 1907 and 1908 as the most spectacular hotel in the desert state, with private baths and crystal chandeliers. It operated until the end of the Second World War and has stood largely empty ever since. The reputation for haunting spread mainly through television, particularly a 2004 investigation on Ghost Adventures in which a brick appeared to be hurled in the basement. Local legend centres on Elizabeth, a woman said to have been chained up in room 109. A museum researcher points out that the accounts are contradictory and appear to originate with previous owners.
