A farmhand searching for horses had to spend the night in a barn by a brook in Lappfjärd. Three increasingly beautiful young women came rowing and asked to lie with him. He refused the first two but yielded to the third. As she rose she laughed and turned into a skeleton; all three mocked him for having tricked a Christian.
