Kungshöga grave field
Östergötland · Sweden · Site of legend
One of Sweden's larger Iron Age grave fields — 125 graves, judge-rings and standing stones, in use a thousand years.
A 1.5 km gravel ridge outside Mjölby with 125 visible graves: judge-rings, three-pointed settings, mounds and a stone ship, used for ~1000 years. A disputed tradition places a battle here during the Dacke feud of 1543. Judge-rings were assembly sites in folk belief; grave fields classic revenant ground. [Monument documented; the battle and ghost motif uncertain/general.]
