At Dalby it is told of the devil who drew money to Halvard's Cottage; whoever received it had to swear to come to hell and roast. The money lasted only while the sworn one's bones had not rotted, so the bones were hidden between the rafters rather than buried. In the same district the dying Blåsman is said to have tricked the devil by swallowing a sliced-up knee strap, so the fiend got no "roast." The next day Blåsman was well again.
