The Evil One had lured the maid to throw her child into the oven – but a single kiss broke his power with a crash in the wall.

At Månsarp it was told of a maid who had borne a child and whom the Evil One had tempted to throw it into the oven. A farmhand stopped her, saying they should kiss the child first, and when she did so the Evil One lost his hold. At that moment there came such a violent crash in the bathhouse wall that everyone knew he was beaten.
