At Ekolsund Castle there was a room no one could occupy, for the devil dwelt there. They sent for the strong-believing priest of Veckholm, who came with an awl, bored a small hole in the lead around a windowpane, and commanded the fiend to crawl out through it and never return. All heard him groan as he squeezed through, and after that the haunting ceased.
