The dean made the Evil One himself run the whole way, holding up the wheel that had come off.

On the Knutsbo slopes in Lemland, Dean Sadelin lost a rear wheel from his carriage. When the servant wanted to stop, the dean declared that whoever had taken the wheel could hold it up too, and so the Evil One had to run alongside the whole way. At home he tried to snuff out the candle, but the dean gave him a sharp dressing-down.
