At Dalby the old puke came to take an old woman and would not let her go, so the priest was fetched. The puke taunted the priest for stealing a needle and thread, which the priest admitted he had done out of need. The priest made a hole in the window with a needle and forced the puke to crawl out like a worm. On the way home the priest saw a black hound – it was the puke himself.
