A Sunday hunter followed beautiful birdsong to a tree — and found a gentleman in feathered finery perched there. He never hunted on a Sunday again.

At Grimmared it is told of a keen hunter who liked to hunt on Sundays. One Sunday morning he heard lovely music in the forest and, thinking it a capercaillie at its mating call, crept toward the tree. There sat a gentleman clad all in fine feathers, and he understood it was the devil himself. So frightened was he that he fled, and never hunted on a Sunday again.
