In Mulseryd there was a fiddler named Sven. Once, as he played in a dance-house, the Evil One came in, changed into a great black dog, and lay down under the table close by his legs. Then Sven stopped playing and turned to spiritual things. It was also told of a girl whom her parents had promised to Satan, who was to fetch her at twenty years of age. On that day they brought her to the church, and when Satan came, three priests stood ready and drove him away.
