A man boasted he could mow against the Devil himself, and was taken at his word.

In Tönnersjö a mower is said to have boasted after whetting that his scythe was now so sharp he could mow a match against the Devil himself. The fiend at once took up the challenge. A wise man lent him a scythe but forbade him to look at the edge. When he finally could not resist, the scythe was only a horse's jawbone.
