At Gläborg in Håby, a well-dressed, swarthy gentleman is said to have once bought up all of farmer August's grain, paying generously on the spot. August counted his money with delight, but a servant girl had noticed horns at the stranger's knees as he climbed the stairs. When August opened the drawer, not a single coin remained. People believed the buyer had been the Devil himself.
