At Bjurtjärn it was told of the Rössberg man in Ölme who got to ride with the Evil One over the treetops. The Evil One was to help a maid give birth but first looked in on some card players, and the Rössberg man hurried home ahead and had the maid shut in. When the Evil One called on the three-legged stool and the three-bound broom to open, a leg and a band were cut away, leaving him standing outside.
