Värmland · Sweden · Sägenplats · Scare 3/5
A fiddler called his own tune Satan's Polka – until the Evil One took up residence in the fiddle, which began to play by itself.
At Bjurtjärn there was a man at Smedstorp, Erk Persa, who constantly played the fiddle up in the stable loft. A polka he had composed himself was called Satan's Polka, and at last the Evil One was drawn into the fiddle. One day the instrument began to play of its own accord, causing such terror that Erk Persa gave up fiddling for good.
