A clawed boulder by the shore marks the day the Evil One tried to dig the church under.

At Skrova in Vågan the priest's daughter is said to have read the Evil One out of an old book. She set him to bail a sandbank into the sea, but he began digging beneath the church wall until the priest came home and conjured him into a cliff. In fury he hurled a stone that still lies there, called the Troll Stone.
