The priest Lyng in Fåberg is said to have been schooled in Wittenberg and well versed in the black book. He cast no shadow, and his body was half white and half red. Once, on his way home from a sick-call, the carriage axle snapped. When the driver pointed it out, the priest calmly answered that whoever had broken it could also mend it, and they drove on as if nothing had happened.
