A second legend from Mörskom tells of a smith who could not make the steel bind while forging scythes. In the evening the dark one asked how many scythes he had made, and surprised, concluded the smith must have thrown sand on. The smith tried the hint, cast sand into the fire, and the iron took. So he learned the art of welding.
