Søren of Bjelland was said to be a man skilled in magic. Learning too late of a clergy gathering, he read from the black book and had the Devil carry him there, promising him the first person to fall asleep in church. But the sermon was preached so loudly that no one slept, and so Søren cheated the Devil of his fee.
