A ghost from 1665 reappeared in 2018 in a house near South Petherwin.

The Botathen ghost is one of the oldest documented hauntings in Cornwall, first reported in 1665 in a field near the village of South Petherwin. As recently as 2018 fresh sightings of the same ghost were reported in a house in the same area.
