The Bucket of Blood Inn at 14 Church Town Road in Phillack (TR27 5AE) got its macabre name when a landlord once drew a bucket from the well and found it full of blood from a murder. The pub is haunted by several ghosts connected to that bloody event and to others across the centuries. The medieval building keeps much of its original character.
