A farmer in want of money signed away his soul, but a beggar's sharp answers outwitted the dark one.

In Bromarv a farmer took money from an unknown man and realised too late it was the devil, who a year later would demand answers to seven questions. On the final night a beggar asked for lodging and offered to answer in the farmer's stead. When the dark one knocked and put his questions, he met quick replies, and he left in anger without claiming the farmer.
