In Sjundeå, Nyland, a robbed farmer sought out a sorcerer to recover his horse. Told to wait until the next day, the farmer lay down in a haystack outside. At midnight the Evil One came rushing and wanted to wring his neck; the sorcerer prevented it, since the farmer had said a prayer before falling asleep. In the morning the horse came to meet him on the road.
