A young woman lived there with her father. She had lost a lover to the sea and was said to be badly affected by it. Every night she watched for his ship from the balcony of the house.

The mansion was demolished long ago and a mess hall was built where it stood, which is where the accounts now come from. Girls at camp have been passing the story between themselves for decades.
