Around one in the morning, just before Halloween, students setting up a haunted house for the school band at Shadyside, Ohio filmed a spoof of a well known horror film in the building.

On the footage there were blue lights, the sound of lockers shutting, and people talking.

None of it was happening while they were filming.

There is a straightforward reading. A camera of that period, in near darkness, produces exactly those blue orbs from dust and moisture close to the lens, and a school building settles and creaks audibly at night.

The part that resists it is the talking, and the fact that the students only found it afterwards. They were making a joke. They were not listening for anything.
