Warwick Castle — Warwickshire · United Kingdom · Castle

Sir Fulke Greville was stabbed by his servant in 1628 — and is said to still walk the Watergate Tower where he died.

Warwick Castle is one of England’s mightiest medieval castles. Its best-known ghost is Sir Fulke Greville, a former lord of the castle stabbed to death in 1628 by his servant Ralph Haywood in a dispute over his will. Since then his apparition is said to wander the castle, especially the Watergate Tower — today called the Ghost Tower — where he spent his last agonising days.
