Juliana was walled into the tower for a love her father forbade. The white figure seen up there is said to be her.

The ruin in the valley of the Zakolansky brook, barely half an hour from Prague, has carried legends since the Middle Ages. The most enduring concerns Juliana, daughter of the knight Sukorad, for whom her father summoned suitors from across the region while she secretly loved the penniless Vnislav. When the truth came out, Sukorad had his daughter walled into the tower. Vnislav got in and freed her, but the escape ended in blood and neither of them left Okor alive. The story survived as a broadside ballad sung in the villages around the castle. Since then a white female figure is said to appear high in the surviving tower. An inscription found cut into one of the halls – letha Panie 1456 kopali jsme zde – shows how long people have dug here for what Juliana never revealed.
