A stubborn legend holds that it was built on ground where the Nizams' soldiers once fell in battle, and that their spirits never left. Lighting technicians tell of spotlights failing and falling, actresses of unseen hands tearing at their clothes and mirrors marked with inexplicable signs, and hotel guests of beds shaking and blankets pulled away at night.
