In the abandoned US base hospital at Clark, boot steps and screams still echo from soldiers who never checked out.

The former US Air Force hospital at Clark treated gravely wounded soldiers during World War II and the Vietnam War, and many died in its corridors. Since the base was abandoned after the 1991 Pinatubo eruption, visitors have reported uniformed figures, phantom footsteps, voices and sudden cold spots in the vandalised wards. The TV show Ghost Hunters International named the ruin one of the most haunted places in the world. Today the building is off-limits without a special permit, with plans to turn it into a museum.
