Poldark Mine in Trenear, Helston (TR13 0ES) is a historic tin mine whose chilly depths are haunted by several ghosts. One of them is a malevolent miner who is, to put it mildly, unwelcoming towards visitors. The mine was worked during the eighteenth century and has been preserved as a museum.
