Satan promised a herd-boy he would become a priest for his soul, written on a stone – but a new baptism erased the name for good.

At Lommeland it was told of a herd-boy who met Satan by a stone and was promised he would become a priest, in return for his name written on the stone. When the appointed years had passed he heard the priest preach that anyone who had signed himself away could be saved. After the service the priest re-baptised him and sent him to the stone, where the name was now gone and Satan no longer had any power over him.
