After five weddings at once the nix raised the water around the people and rode them all out into the lake to drown.

Once in olden times five weddings were celebrated at once in Busby in Ormsö. Then the nix rose from the lake and made the water rise around all the people. They mounted their horses to ride away, with the bridegroom in front and the nix leading, and rode straight out into the lake where they all drowned. It was said an old baron had conjured it all to bring the village's land under his own estate, Magnushof.
