In Vörå they tell of a man who, lost in a far country, pledged away what waited at home and thereby his son. At the altar the boy was set with a Bible and a silver cup in his hands, and in the night the evil one came first as an entire wedding procession with bride and fiddler. Through every shape the boy dared not stir, and the foe could not take him.
