The Marquise de Langallerie is said to still sweep from room to room in Allaman Castle above Lake Geneva.

Allaman Castle between Lausanne and Geneva was bought in 1723 by the Marquise Jeanne-Marguerite de Langallerie, who kept a grand household of servants and festivities. According to tradition she never quite left her beloved castle. A white lady is said to glide from chamber to chamber at night, as if still inspecting her household. Over the years, visitors and residents have testified to her soundless wanderings through the halls.
